Idaho Falls ID Semi-Retired Married 1 2019-02-14 00:57:48
Shortly after graduation, I married my High School sweetheart, Karen Arnold.  I started working with individuals with disabilities during my freshman year of college.  I eventually completed my BA and Master's Degree at Idaho State University.  I have now worked in the human service field for 48 years, but have been semi-retired for the past few years.  Karen and I call Idaho Falls home, but spend as much time as possible at our second home in St. George, Utah during the winter months.

Idaho Falls ID Retired Health Physicist Single 2020-05-05 11:28:03
My career as a Health Physicist kept me busy and far from Idaho Falls for almost 40 years. I worked in New Mexico, Utah, Nevada and California. I retired in 2014 and returned to Idaho Falls. I love it here and if necessary I can stay in my house most of the winter!  I also travel extensively!  My mode of choice is Cruising. I have been to almost all of my bucket list places, and I am happily still working on it!  My extended family and great friends keep me busy and happy. I want my epitaph to read:  “She Had Fun!”

Moses Lake WA retired Married 8 2019-04-07 15:06:23
We are grateful for the many blessings in our lives.  After High School, I graduated from BYU with a degree in Special Education/Elementary Education.  (Taught one year at the American Fork Training School--up until the day our first was born.)  It was a privilege to serve an 18 month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Richard and I have 8 precious children--a teacher, computer security guru, a financial planner, two doctors, two nurses, and a daughter on the other side (died in an accident at age 2).

We love to travel, do family history, have adventures with the 13 grandchildren,  garden, have a freeze dryer and are having a blast here in WA where we grow 95 crops in our county.  We belong to the gleaners and are able to get lots of excess food this way.  Last fall we pressed 125 gallons of fresh apple cider.  Guess what all the neighbors got for Christmas?

We are in the process of selling our home here in Moses Lake, WA--100 miles to the west of Spokane--and are purchasing a home in Cedar City, Utah to be nearer to our children and grandchildren.

We have recently served as Pathway Service Missionaries in our church, worked in the Columbia River Temple for 3 years, and received our mission call this week.  In September we enter the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah and will serve for 18 months inl the Salt Lake City Headquarters Mission serving as Family  and Church History missionaries.  Family history has always been one of my great loves and I have helped others trace their roots and  volunteered in our local libraries for over 20 years.

Life does not always turn out how we think it will, but we learn from many opportunities and make the best of life.  We are sad that we will not be able to join you for the reunion.  THANKS to all the committee for their diligence in reaching out to all of us.  This morning it was a JOY to read through your profiles.  Idaho Falls will always be home. . . . . . .

MERIDIAN ID Retired Married 4 2019-05-11 09:08:18
69 WAS A GREAT YEAR!!  Especially since we only had to be in class 1/3 of the time and supposedly studying 2/3 of the time.  After graduation I served a Mission to California East or East LA.  Attended BYU and married my lovely wife Tammy Hull who graduated in 69 from Shelley HS.  We talked about all the school activities we were both at since she was in their dance team and I was in the pep band and played for the Teddy Bears.  She remembers debating Senator Crapo and beating him in HS.  We graduated from BYU and moved to Boise with our 3 kids soon to be 4.  We have loved Boise and have been very blessed with 4 children and 13 grandkids.  Tammy and I have been Temple Workers in the Boise and now Meridian Temple for 19 years and continue to enjoy serving there.  We enjoy spending time with our grandkids and their parents.  We started a tradition of taking our grandkids to Disneyland when they turn 5.  We now have been there 21 times.  Be careful what you start.  It's been fun to see what you all have done and are doing.  Still like those red convertibles.

Wow ... I think 50 years of life went by faster than 4 years of high school, but I am so looking forward to seeing people who were such an enjoyable part of those formative four years.  I hope EVERYONE comes!

After High School I attended BYU for a semester, served two years as a missionary in Finland, and married Connie Plant in 1972.  We attended Ricks for a year and then earned three degrees from the University of Idaho, first a BS in Chemistry and finally a PhD as a Fulbright Scholar completing my research at the University of Joensuu in Eastern Finland.  I have worked as a product development chemist, managed a food processing plant, owned a cosmetic manufacturing company for 18 years and finally became an educator (always a dream).  During my 17 year public school career I taught high school chemistry and math and served as a high school principal. The past 17 years I have worked in various positions at BYU-Idaho most recently as Associate Academic Vice President. I currently teach math part time to just get out of the house.

Connie and I have four children and 16 grandchidren who we love and they actually like one another too!  Connie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2004 and has been bedridden for 10 years.  I care for her at home and I'm pretty good at it until about 10 o'clock :), then I need to get out of the house for awhile.  I am a private pilot and stay busy teaching a little, restoring my collection of old cars and I always have home improvement projects at home and at our place in Island Park.

I am looking forward to seeing friends and learning about their lives.  I know everyone has changed some.  I have.  It will be enjoyable to see how much.  Life has not turned out as I planned.  But it has turned out as it should have.  I am thankful for the trials and the sucesses I have experienced.  I now recognize what  the meaningful and joyful accomplishments are in my life.   I also have had the learning experiences.
I hope all who can, will come.  For me, this reunion is about people.
My wife and I have 6 children and 19 grandchildren.  I wouldn't trade one of them.  we have lived in 4 western states and moved somewhere around 14 times.  The marriage and family are still intact!  We have completed the circle and live in Ammon.  Feel free to contact me.

Phoenix AZ pediatric neurosurgeon, researcher Married 3 2019-09-17 20:28:02
After leaving Idaho Falls in 1969, I went to Johns Hopkins, served a mission in North Germany, returned to BYU for BS, went to medical school at Univ of Washington, residency in neurosurgery in Phoenix and fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery in Toronto.  I became the founding pediatric neurosurgeon at Phoenix Children's Hospital where I stayed for 25 years.  I then became a chief medical officer of a biotech startup based on one of my inventions.  Ater 3 years, I returned to part time clinical practice each month in Orlando.  The rest of my time I work in bench translational research on devices for future surgical instruments.
My wife, Cindi,  and I live primarily in Phoenix, but also in Heber City, UT, and Orlando, FL.  We have 3 children and 12 grandchildren, all of whom now live from the top to the bottom of UT,   so we are often visiting UT.
I look back on Idaho Falls and particularly the friendships and great influences on my life out of Skyline High School with deep appreciation.  It was a great place with a wonderful mix of backgrounds and interests.  Thank-you, Skyline!

Hi Everyone: After graduating from Skyline High, I attended Ricks College. I then went to work for Chevrolet Motor Division and lived in Rochester Michigan. (Detroit) I married Marilyn Ritchie from Salt Lake City and we have two wonderful daughters. We’ve been married for 42 years. We left Michigan and a career with Chevrolet so our kids could be closer to family in Salt Lake. I started Messmer's Natural Wood Finishes in 1989, and after 25 years, our products were in nearly 3000 retail paint and lumber locations across the US and Canada. In 2012, Marilyn and I decided it was time for an early retirement, some relaxation, and I sold Messmer’s Inc.  However, three days prior to signing the final documents I was called as an LDS Bishop in our South Jordan Utah ward. So much for relaxing.  Marilyn and I now spend our time going to grandkids functions, playing golf, and going back and forth to our home in St George in the winter time. While Utah is our home, I still proudly wear my Idaho tee-shirt and visit often.

Went to BYU where I joined a musical group that did some recording in Hollywood where I found out I'm really not a musician.  Married Cathi from Pleasant Grove, Utah and we are still happy together!  Luckily stayed in school and after graduation moved to Orange County California where I worked as a CPA for 40 years or so.  Retired 6 years ago and moved to AZ 3 years ago to escape the People's Republic of CA, but we still sneak back across the border often to visit 3 children and their families.  Our other 3 children live near us safely in the desert.  Idaho Falls will always feel like home, even if we just come to visit.   Thanks to those who put this reunion together.
